You've probably heard a lot about the 'FBI iPhone Hack' in the news lately, the proposal originally the FBI had made toward Apple was concerning giving them an exploit to allow them to disable the "wrong passcode" timeout, allowing them to do a full bruteforce attack the device (considering its only a 4 digit code, it wouldn't be long). In the name of principle, Apple (supposedly) refused.
Since then, they have figured it out for themselves, and found an exploit, however they won't be releasing the exploit details. Do you agree with their decision not to release the details? And what do you think this says about the security of even very popular devices? A lot of important questions to consider.
