Who are you?
Hey 0x00sec community, I'm Neo. I registered in May and I already posted here and there, but now, that I return to this beautiful place after a 2 month pause, I thought it was a good time to finally formally introduce myself, because I kinda missed out on that back when I registered.
I am 31 years old and currently working as a Developer, saving money to start a Computer Science course at a university next year. After that, I want to start a career either in InfoSec or AI, most probably starting as a Pentester and then trying to combine these two areas as I further progress in my career.
Can you program? If yes, what languages?
I wouldn't be a good developer if I didn't know some programming languages
In my private time, I started learning Python, C and Assembly Language.
I can handle Python fairly well , I know a bit of C and I just started to learn Assembly.
Scripting in powershell, batch or bash is nothing new to me.
How'd you find us?
I was lurking over at Null-Byte before all the shit went down, and followed OTW's twitter, where he advertised this site.
How long have you been interested in computers/infosec?
I've been into computers since I was a child, but at that time, I mostly used them for entertainment purposes. When I turned 16 I started to think about what I want to do for money, and so i started to learn programming, which brought me into my current career in DevOps.
About two years ago, I started feeling bored at my job. So I thought about different kinds of careers in IT I could switch to. Then I was at a party, the host forgot his W-Lan password, and I recovered it with netsh. As for most non-IT people, cmd = hacking, and they were completely astonished. But the next day I wondered: "What if I could REALLY hack?" So I started to look around online and finally found NullByte. I was always a sucker for knowledge, and so I started to soak it all up. I bought a few books, read every single one of OTW's and others' posts on NullByte and later on this site.
I had a few personal problems over the last months, but I think now I am back on track, ready to "HACK THE PLANET". I am looking forward to participate in this great community.
