Who are you?
I'm just an interested master student who wants to amass as much knowledge about IT-security, reverse engineering and hardware hacking as possible. I'm not that knowledgeable yet but I'm willing to learn.
I finished my bachelor thesis in a similar topic (finding flaws in automotive software through fuzzing after reversing the firmware from the hardware)
Can you program? If yes, what languages?
My programming skills are lacking. Like really. I never could make it past a couple of tutorials or university courses, but deep inside me I know I wanna program a lot more..
I have a basic understanding of Python, Java and C though and would like to improve here as well.
How'd you find us?
Honestly I found you through recommended rss feeds a few days ago, since then I was reading quietly through a few tutorials and blog posts here and thought you guys are fun bunch and I wanna be a part of that community. And hopefully I'll be able to contribute sooner than later.
How long have you been interested in computers/infosec?
The interest in hacking/infosec was inside me since birth~...
No seriously every since I was in high school way back then I found this topic somehow fascinating and just never found a way into it until my bachelor thesis..
The first contact I had with this topic was probably back in the day with all those scripting/batch shenanigans back in the days and this book what was it called? 'the hacker bible' or 'hackers black book' or something. It had some kind of pirate on it...
Never got to know if that was scam or not though. Well whatever I'm drifting into the offtopic area.
Anyways nice to meet you all and hopefully we will have a good time together :)!
