What do you go by / What are your common aliases?
Valthir is pretty much the only thing I go by nowadays.
What are your skill sets?
I'm finishing up a CS degree in the next year, so I've got a pretty good handle on programming, at least conceptually. Best practices, I'm still a bit fuzzy on, as well as some language specific stuff. Languages that I've had at least a bit of experience with are Java, C, C++, and Python.
Beyond that, it's sort of hard to really qualify. I'm still in school and haven't had a ton of time to really sit down and figure things out, outside of what I've done in classes and for work.
What are you interested in?
Honestly? I don't really know. I just want to learn more. I know enough to know how much I don't know.
I do know that I'm a bit more interested in blue team stuff. And I want to brush up on my current skills (like programming).
Are you an Info. Sec./Comp. Sci. professional or just a hobbyist?
Professional? Ehh. I don't know if I would call myself professional. I'm still a student, but I'm working as an analyst in the SOC on my campus.
What do you hope to gain from this community?
I want to broaden my horizons. I want to learn. I don't really have any concrete goals, but I can only go up from here.
What do you hope to contribute to this community?
Well, I can't really contribute much knowledge at the moment, but everyone has to start somewhere and I may be able to help someone else on here once I get more experience.
How'd you find us?
I found an article ( https://0x00sec.org/t/shared-thoughts-after-6-years-in-pentesting/2492) and pivoted from that to reading other things here. I found them interesting and figured that I'd at least join.
