If you didn't already know, back in 2014, the 'biggest' hack ever got everybody's attention, as it was also dubbed The Fappening. This hack was aimed towards hundreds of celebrities, where their nudes were allegedly 'leaked' or published to the internet.
The guy/group believed to be behind this hack is called OriginalGuy. Hundreds of celebrities were hit, among Jennifer Lawrence, Ariana Grande, Emily Ratajkowski, Kim Kardashian and many others.
Till this day, you can still find these pictures on numerous pirate websites, and they have likely been split into two parts, The Fappening 1.0 & The Fappening 2.0.
The Hack on Apple
In 2014, Apple was doing good as they were about to release a new OS for their users, an Apple Watch and right at this time, iCloud was hacked. This should be clear evidence, that it doesn't matter who you are, everything is hackable!
Now, OriginalGuy, as he's known, allegedly hacked iCloud by bypassing the security questions and afterwards using the popular brute-force technique to gain access. Then he would download all the content and share it with few of his 'close friends'.
At this point, it is unclear as to what is true and what is false.
Allegedly, the pictures which were supposed to remain on the website AnonIB, somehow leaked to the public, because someone shared them. How that particular individual obtained the pictures is unclear, because OriginalGuy stated that he sold these pictures, and that these individuals might have sold them further.
Who Was Behind This Hack?
The person/people behind this hack, claims to be a small group of people, who spent months of hard work on succeeding with this hack. And that it was a team effort, which OriginalGuy couldn't have completed without his colleagues.
OriginalGuy who at this point, still hasn't been identified with confidence, tells me that this guy knew what he were doing. What didn't make the headlines, is that the FBI has in fact arrested individuals who 'claims' to be responsible for the hack. Ryan Collins came forward and is to plead guilty to committing this felony, however the FBI has only charged him with being in possession of the illegal pictures.
A man named Bryan Hamade was accused of this hack, as he was exposed being in possession of the remaining illegal pictures which had yet to be released as OriginalGuy had stated prior, and all of this was because Bryan photoshopped a picture of a celebrity onto a naked female body, in hope's of getting some bitcoins.
Where is OriginalGuy?
If you ask me, I don't believe any of these individuals actually is the notorious hacker who according to the media, pulled of the 'biggest hack ever'. Ask yourself, if you got away with something people could only dream of, why turn yourself in almost 2 years later? Let me ellaborate.
OriginalGuy was and is only known on the forum AnonIB, and the pictures weren't even supposed to get out in the way they did, because someone leaked them. According to OriginalGuy. He remained undetected for months alongside his companions on this long and extensive hack on Apple, on one of the biggest corporations today.
Why I Believe OriginalGuy is Still Out There!
He obtained gigabytes worth of naked pictures and videos on hundreds of celebrities, who's lawyers threatened to sue anyone being in possession of these pictures. (Jennifer Lawrence's lawyer in particular)
the FBI AFTER 2 YEARS 'claims' to have found the one responsible of the hack, yet none of this made headlines? And who is it, that influences people's judgement today? THE MEDIA!! The media is in control of your perception whether you acknowledge it or not, and if the FBI realized 2 years ago that they weren't going to find this unnamed hacker, they had to find a scapegoat, so they found some man from Pennsylvania and probably bribed him to plead guilty, so that they could at least say they found the man responsible.
Keep in mind, Apple announced 2 years ago days after the hack, that both the FBI & Apple had spent 40+ hours trying to track this guy down with no luck, and suddenly the hacker decides to walk into FBI headquarters and take responsibility when he pulled off one of the best hacks ever. Mate, he is only charged with possession of illegal material. Why not drown him in charges as they easily could of done that, if he's actually the one who did it?
Ask me, the FBI needed a scapegoat because they have a reputation to maintain and the media didn't cover the arrest on Ryan Collins, because the FBI likely told them not to, ironic isn't it? OriginalGuy is still out there, laughing. Probs to you mate.
